    Special Song Requests

Have a song in mind that would make your celebration feel even more personal?

If it is not already in my repertoire,
I am happy to consider learning it for your event.

    For duo and trio bookings,
the song learning fee applies per musician, as each musician prepares their own part.

    A $100 song-learning fee applies
to each new song, per musician. Requests must be submitted 60 to 90 days prior to the event.

    Special song requests require
    published sheet music or
a suitable existing arrangement. Songs that require transcription from audio or video are outside the standard song-learning service.

All song learning depends on the availability of music and on whether the piece is well-suited to the harp or an ensemble.

OTHER WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER

Ensemble Investment

Would you love a fuller sound for your ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, or celebration?

Solo harp may be
paired with flute, saxophone, cello, or violin
to create a more layered and immersive musical atmosphere.

For a romantic, cinematic feel, a harp with violin or cello adds warmth, movement,
and emotional depth.

A harp, violin, and cello trio is
especially beautiful for couples who love a graceful, Bridgerton-inspired ambiance.

Duo music begins at $1,400 for the first hour.
Additional time: $600 per hour or $300 per half hour

Trio music begins at $2,100 for the first hour.
Additional time: $900 per hour or $450 per half hour

For duo and trio bookings,
the $100 song-learning fee applies per musician,
as each musician prepares a separate part.

Additional musicians are accomplished professionals,
including Hawai’i Symphony Orchestra musicians and established performers who regularly appear at weddings, concerts, hotels, and special events throughout the islands.

Because these musicians maintain active performance calendars, teaching schedules, and student programs, ensemble availability is confirmed at the time of booking.

When possible, I may request a 3-day courtesy hold
with the additional musicians while your event details are reviewed.

After your contract is sent,
your booking fee is due within two weeks to secure your date and ensemble. If the booking fee is not received within that time, the date and musicians may be released for other engagements.

Outdoor Performance Requirements

For outdoor performances, proper shade coverage is required for the harp and any additional musicians.

For solo harp,
a large market umbrella or a professional covered shade structure may be suitable when it provides
full, stable coverage for the harp, musician, and equipment

For duo and trio bookings,
a 10 X 10 canopy or a professional covered shade structure is required.

Beach umbrellas or small decorative umbrellas are not sufficient.
Tree shade is also not considered adequate coverage, as the sun moves throughout the event,
and branches may drip sap, moisture, or debris.

The harp and ensemble instruments are
professional concert instruments and must be protected from direct sunlight, heat, rain, wind, and shifting shade. Proper coverage helps protect the instruments, the musicians,
and the quality of the music throughout your celebration.

    Ground transportation

If this is an outdoor event, please provide weather protection, such as a market umbrella.

  • Lodging Considerations

Depending on flight schedules, performance timing, and venue logistics, overnight lodging may be required. When same-day travel is possible, lodging may not be necessary.

  • A Thoughtful Approach to Travel

Travel events require additional time for transportation, setup, tuning, and sound check.

The Hinahina Travel Package helps ensure that the harpist and her instrument arrive safely, have time to settle, and that the music is ready well before your guests arrive.
